Argentina Vintage Rugby Polo 1980s

Revive in style the legends of the late 70s and early 80s of the Pumas rugby team. This legendary rugby jersey of Argentina representes a period in which Argentina started to win the main world rugby giants. Thus, in 1982 the Springboks of South Africa were defeated for the first time, in 1983 to the Australian wallabies (in Brisbane) and in 1985 they managed to have a tie with the All Blacks of New Zealand who won the first rugby World Cup. As for teams in the northern hemisfere, the then 5 nations teams, the Pumas also achieved the first triumphs in that decade. In 1985 France was defeated for the first time and in 1990 England, the two largest rugby powers in Europe.

In the first rugby World Cup played in 1987, the Pumas did not managed to succeed. They defeated Italy easily (25 - 16) but lost the other two games in their group againts the All Blacks (46-15) and the decisive games against Fidji (28-9) so they could not reach the quarterfinals.

The Pumas rugby team is the most successful team in America, and already competes with the rugby giants of the southern and northern hemispheres. In the last World Cup in 2015, he managed to enter the top 4. This vintage rugby shirt was worn by legendary Pumas players such as the captain Hugo Porta, Rafael Madero or Diego Cuesta Silva.

Argentina's Rugby jersey reproducing the horizontal albiceleste stripes of the pumas. Product 100% cotton high grammage and high quality for fanatics of the Pumas and rugbiers with a touch of class.
